MYTI Fitness Philosophy

Using Positive Psychology to help you reach your fitness goals

What do you get when you combine certification in fitness training, with a degree in Psychology? A trainer that understands your motivations, and can work with you to create effective workouts and positive behavioural change

As a subscriber of Positive Psychology Michael has created the VITAL formula to help you reach your goals. 

VITAL  

V = Visualise – eg A Graphical representation provides you with an understanding of where your fitness journey begins, and allows you to visualise your graph scaling upwards indicating progression.

I = Initiate – set a goal based on your vision (eg – I want to improve my fitness, or I want to improve my agility and coordination) 

T = Tangible (make contact, physically undertake the task, start fitness sessions) 

A = Achieve (achieve your goal (eg – improving fitness, improving agility and coordination) 

L = Leverage (leverage with your achievement to influence other aspects of your life positively, achieving becomes normalised behaviour. Eg – improve your diet).

Michael will endeavour to meet all of his clients prior to their attendance to the Boot Camp. He only requires 5 to 15 minutes of your time. He is skilled at building rapport rapidly, whilst understanding your goals and discerning your strengths. This allows Michael to guide you towards your wellbeing goals with insight in hand. Michael will:

  • Identify your goals and provide examples of how they will achieve
  • Assess barriers (which may impact your ability to achieve your goals).
  • Summarize your goals  
  • State your affirmation for change  

Qualifications: 

Certificate 3 and 4 in Health and Fitness 

Master Trainer (Fitness Industry)

Diploma of Counselling

Bachelor of Psychology (Distinction)
